Meet Kat

Having a background in Gymnastics, it was the discipline that first drew Kat to learn Ashtanga. Since then it's been the energy, the community and one-to-one teaching approach that continually motivates her to do her practice each day.

In 2017, Kat moved from Vancouver to study under David and Jelena and has maintained a dedicated practice since. Her personal journey which led to profound shifts both internally and externally has deeply inspired her to share and pass on the tradition as she's been taught.

In 2018, Kat traveled to Mysore, India to study under Saraswathi Jois at KPJAYI. On that trip she rescued Bubu, a beautiful street dog, who is now one of our beloved shala pups.
