Learn the fundamentals of Ashtanga Yoga. This class is suitable for total beginners. No previous yoga experience is required.
Intro to Ashtanga
For students with little or no yoga experience. This 4-session course introduces the Ashtanga Yoga practice in a slow, safe and comprehensive manner. We limit each session to just 8 students, as a smaller class size allows for more individual attention. Pre-registration is required. Mysore is the traditional way of learning Ashtanga Yoga. The class is not led and all instruction is given on an individual basis. As you gain strength, stamina, flexibility and focus, poses will be added on to your sequence. Absolute beginners are welcome – plan for about 30 minutes for your first class. Come and practice in a baby-friendly space, meet other Ashtanga parents, and watch the babies stare at each other. You’re welcome to come without a baby too! Just don’t complain if there’s a poo smell.
Half Primary Series
The teacher guides the class through the first half of Ashtanga’s Primary Series. A challenging and energetic class for students familiar with the practice.
Full Primary Series
A led class through the entire Ashtanga Primary Series. For experienced students only.
